HRI's previous projects include multiple affordable housing developments both in and outside of Cambridge. The largest current project, a 300-apartment property located at 808-812 Memorial Drive, is completing renovations in the fall of 2022. HRI's most recent new construction, Finch Cambridge, is a 98-apartment building completed in the summer of 2020. Finch is certified Enterprise Green Communities, WELL, Fitwel, and Passive House through PHIUS, the project was also the recipient of the 2020 PRISM Award for Best Affordable Community.

The HRI team is experienced with high-quality historic preservation, extensive renovation, and new construction of sustainable, accessible housing. For historic renovations, HRI works closely with the Cambridge Historic Commission, historic development consultants, and state/federal historic conservation partners to ensure that renovations are in line with their design guidelines. Sustainability is also a core tenant of HRI's philosophy: our new construction takes into account sustainable technologies, such as Passive House construction, and renewable energies, such as solar PV, while our renovations include strategic interventions to increase energy efficiency through HVAC and electrical upgrades, increased insulation, and updated fixtures and appliances.
